Putting up a brand-new private power pole — where none stood before — is Level 2 ASP work from the first application to energisation. This is distinct from a like-for-like pole replacement — here we establish a pole and supply point that did not exist.

When a New Pole Is Needed

You need a fresh pole when a new dwelling has no existing supply point, when a battle-axe or subdivided block sits too far from the network, or when a second building on the property needs its own connection. New poles also solve non-compliant setups where the service currently spans too far without support. We assess the site, confirm the pole position against Ausgrid clearances and lodge the connection application.

Powering a New Build

On a new build the pole is the anchor for your new connection — it carries the overhead service mains to the dwelling and mounts the point of attachment. Taming a Long Overhead Run

An overhead service that stretches too far across a property sags, catches trees and often draws an Ausgrid defect notice. Installing a new intermediate pole breaks the span into compliant sections and re-tensions the line.
