Adding ducted air conditioning, a large solar array, or an EV charger to an existing property can push the incoming supply beyond its rated capacity. Sydney Power Group manages the full supply upgrade process — from calculating your maximum demand to coordinating the network augmentation with Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy and carrying out the physical switchboard and consumer mains upgrade.

Single to Three-Phase Conversion

Many Sydney properties still run on single-phase 63A supply — adequate for basic loads, but not for modern high-draw equipment. A three-phase conversion increases your supply from a single 63A connection to three 63A phases, effectively tripling your capacity. We assess your existing infrastructure, prepare the technical documentation for the network application, and carry out the full conversion including new consumer mains, metering panel, and switchboard.

200 Amp Upgrades

For properties that need more capacity on a single phase, a 200 amp upgrade increases your main fuse from 63A to 100A or 200A. This is a common requirement before installing a large battery storage system, commercial kitchen equipment, or multiple EV chargers. We prepare and submit the network augmentation request, coordinate the outage window, and replace the consumer mains and metering equipment to suit the new rating.

Maximum Demand Assessment

Before any supply upgrade, we carry out a maximum demand calculation to confirm the right upgrade path. This prevents over-specifying (and over-spending) on capacity you don't need, and ensures the upgrade you get will actually accommodate your planned loads. We provide the assessment in writing so you understand exactly what you're getting and why.

Network Application and Coordination

Supply upgrades require formal approval from Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy before any physical work can begin. As authorised Level 2 ASPs, we submit the technical application, respond to any network queries, and coordinate the planned outage window. In most cases the full upgrade — application, approval, and physical works — is completed within two to four weeks from initial engagement.
