Installed or planning solar? You need a bi-directional (solar) meter to measure both the power you draw and the power you export — and on the Endeavour Energy network that metering must be connected by a Level 2 ASP. Sydney Power Group configures solar metering across the Endeavour supply area, where high sun hours make rooftop solar hugely popular, so you are correctly credited for your export.

How a Bi-Directional Meter Works

A standard meter only measures consumption. A bi-directional meter measures import and export separately, so your retailer can apply your feed-in tariff to exported solar. Without it, your solar export is invisible to Endeavour and goes uncredited. We fit or reconfigure the meter as part of your solar system connection.

Working Alongside Your Solar Installer

Solar installers wire the panels and inverter, but the meter and network connection are Level 2 ASP work, and Endeavour must approve the export limit for your area. We coordinate with your installer to fit the smart meter and complete the Endeavour connection so your system is energised and exporting correctly.
