Why Relocation Needs A Level 2 ASP

Moving a meter box touches the consumer mains, metering and the point where the network supply connects to your property. This supply-side work can only lawfully be performed by a Level 2 ASP, and it must be coordinated with the network operator. SPG holds this accreditation across all three NSW networks, so we can plan and execute the whole relocation.

How A Relocation Works

We assess the new location for compliance and access, arrange the supply disconnection with the network, run new consumer mains as required, mount and connect the relocated box and metering, then arrange reconnection and testing. Where the job also needs more capacity, we can fold in a supply upgrade.

Older boxes may sit on asbestos backing boards, which we identify and handle safely and appropriately throughout the move.
