Flood Damage Electrical Repairs

Do not enter flood water near electrical equipment and do not touch wet switches, power points or the switchboard. If it is safe to reach the main switch without standing in water, turn off the power. Then call SPG on 0466 125 125.

Safety After a Flood

Flood water can energise wiring, appliances and standing water, creating a real electrocution risk. Never stand in water to reach a switchboard, and never touch wet electrical equipment. If you can safely isolate power at the main switch from a dry position, do so; if not, keep clear and wait for us.

Do not attempt to test or dry out equipment yourself, and don't restore power until an electrician has inspected the installation.
