Air Conditioner Disconnects

Replacing or removing an air conditioner starts with a safe electrical disconnection. Sydney Power Group coordinates the isolation with the licensed HVAC work so the unit can be removed safely and the site left ready for the replacement or permanent decommissioning.

Safe isolation for service and replacement

Before an AC is serviced, swapped or removed, the power must be safely isolated. The required work depends on the installation and task; we check the isolation point, confirm the electrical supply is safe and coordinate this with any refrigerant or mechanical work.

This protects the people doing the work and your property. Electrical and refrigerant tasks are completed under the relevant licences and safety requirements.

Removals and old circuits

When an air conditioner is being removed for good, we disconnect and make safe the redundant circuit, and can decommission or repurpose the way in your switchboard. If the old board is outdated, it's a good time for a switchboard upgrade.

Installing a replacement unit? We assess the dedicated power circuit, reconnect and test the electrical work as part of the licensed installation scope.
