Step 1: Assess Your Existing Supply

The first step is a site inspection to confirm what supply you currently have, the condition of your consumer mains and switchboard, and how three phase would be routed to your property — overhead or underground.

We also check whether the existing service and metering can be reused or need replacing. This assessment shapes the scope and the quote, so it's worth getting right up front.

Step 2: Network Approval and Connection

Three phase requires approval and coordination with your network operator — Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy or Essential Energy depending on where you are in Sydney. As accredited ASPs across all three networks, we lodge the connection application and arrange the network connection on your behalf.

Depending on your street, the supply may come via overhead mains or underground mains. Sometimes a private pole or point of attachment upgrade is also needed.

Step 3: Switchboard and Metering

A three phase supply almost always needs a new or upgraded switchboard sized for the extra capacity, fitted with modern safety switches. The meter is also changed to a three phase meter, coordinated through the smart metering process with your retailer.

This is the part that turns extra capacity into something you can actually use safely inside the home.

Step 4: Connection, Test and Sign-off

Once the board and metering are ready, we energise the new three phase supply, test everything and provide the compliance paperwork.
